Toyota is developing a wearable device to help give blind and visually impaired people greater mobility, the manufacturer has said. The gadget is worn on the shoulders and uses cameras to recognize surroundings, such as signs, then directs the wearer with speakers and vibration motors.

NYC Guarantees the Right to Enter a Bathroom Matching One’s Gender Identity

New Yorkers are now guaranteed the right to visit the restroom that matches their gender identity in all city buildings, after Mayor Bill de Blasio signed an executive order Monday. The new rule, which is now in effect, covers all bathrooms or locker rooms in city-government buildings, parks, and some museums.
