Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind
“Thank you, ADA Sign Depot, for your donations to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc. We truly appreciate your generosity in helping us improve the lives of people with disabilities, particularly those who are blind or visually impaired.”Read our story about attending a Guide Dogs for the Blind graduation ceremony:
Guide Gods for the Blind: The Alliance
Since 1946, the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind has provided guide dogs free of charge to blind people who seek enhanced mobility and independence. Our students come to us from all over the United States and many foreign countries. Our trademark small classes and individualized instruction often attract students who may have special requirements. We have successfully trained hearing-impaired blind people as well as many physically challenged people. In addition to providing Second Sight through the use of our guide dogs, the Guide Dog Foundation offers extensive public education vehicles to broaden society's understanding of vision, visual impairment, blindness, and disability rights.
Save the Children
Carolyn Miles, President & CEO, Save the Children“Thank you ADA Sign Depot for your generous donations to Save the Children to support our work around the world and in the United States. Your gifts place you among our most valued supporters: our Leadership Circle. This group of highly motivated donors makes a world of difference to the vulnerable girls and boys whose lives we are working to protect and improve.”
Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in the United States and around the world. Recognized for our commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration, our work takes us into the heart of communities, where we help children and families help themselves. We work with other organizations, governments, non-profits and a variety of local partners while maintaining our own independence without political agenda or religious orientation.
When disaster strikes around the world, Save the Children is there to save lives with food, medical care and education and remains to help communities rebuild through long-term recovery programs. As quickly and as effectively as Save the Children responds to tsunamis and civil conflict, it works to resolve the ongoing struggles children face every day - poverty, hunger, illiteracy and disease - and replaces them with hope for the future.
Urban Peak
Andrea Alcala,
Major Gifts Manager
"Thank you, ADA Sign Depot, for choosing Urban Peak as the local non-profit you'd like to support moving forward! Every dollar counts. Thank you for trusting us."
Urban Peak provides a full convergence of services solely focused on one of the most vulnerable populations in our community: youth ages 12 through 24 who are experiencing homelessness.
The challenges and vulnerabilities that these young people face are hard to imagine. They have little experience living independently prior to homelessness and are often developmentally unprepared to find stability without supportive adults or caring and safe connections.
To move from homelessness to safety and stability, youth require intensive, strengths-based case management; access to physical, mental, and behavioral health care; education and employment opportunities; 24/7 crisis support; and a place to call home. Urban Peak meets youth where they are at and ignites a spark that puts them on a path toward self-determined, fulfilled lives.
GiveDirectly Inc.
New York, NY
“Thank you, ADA Sign Depot, for giving directly. Your decision to send cash means poor families themselves (and not us) will be empowered to prioritize needs on their own terms. So what’s next? No containers setting sail, no supply chains activated. We’ll be kicking off our multi-step process of identifying extremely poor households, enrolling them in our program, and sending them their first digital transfer." GiveDirectly is the first and the largest nonprofit that lets donors send money directly to the world's poorest. We believe people living in poverty deserve the dignity to choose for themselves how best to improve their lives, and cash enables that choice. GiveDirectly is leading the world's largest and longest term experiment to date studying the effects of a Universal Basic Income. We have also given money to refugees and are continuing to build on the success of their pilot test of providing lump sum cash grants at scale.
ADA Sign Depot ships using UPS Carbon Neutral whenever possible.
Our customers do not pay for this. We do.
Each time ADA Sign Depot ships using UPS Carbon Neutral we pay a small additional fee to UPS. This money is used by UPS to purchase certified carbon (CO2) offsets to balance out the emissions produced by the transportation of our shipments. Partnering with UPS has allowed ADA Sign Depot to support projects that include reforestation, landfill gas destruction, wastewater treatment, and methane destruction.
