Having the technical capability and experience to back print signs with full-color digital imagery makes designing ADA compliant signage virtually without limitations. The color leaf image of this sign was digitally printed on the back side of clear matte finish acrylic. Then we hand painted the back side, sealing the image and providing an opaque background. Affixing an offset back piece give the sign a visually significant 3-D quality, making the sign a part of the interior design of the office environment, rather than a flat, one dimensional carrier of information.
The above ADA sign is made of wood laminate and brushed aluminum with digitally printed room identification text, tactile room number and Grade 2 Braille dots. The curving channel groove between the wood and aluminum components makes a visual break between the two materials and fields of information, while adding a three dimensional quality. The gently curving radius of the channel groove also adds a design quality apart from the grid design of typical ADA signage.
This brushed aluminum ADA sign has a full-color logo digitally printed directly onto the brushed aluminum surface. Adding tactile (raised) lettering black Braille results in an elegant yet affordable ADA compliant room identification system.
